Is there any good free/low cost dental clinics in Chicago?

I have a tooth that is broke in half and has been this way for a long time now, and it hurts really bad, I need it pulled and I also have a lot of tartar build up on one of my back upper teeth that causes me more pain than anything. I think my gum is infected. I have only had 1 other cavity my whole life and I am 32 yrs old. My teeth are going to hell and I just dont have insurance through my job, and money is really tight. Any help would be appreciated!

Is there any good free/low cost dental clinics in Chicago?
If you can't afford insurance try a discount company. Ameriplan is a good one. $19.95/mo. for the entire household related or not. This is not insurance so you can go to the dentist within 24hrs of enrolling and you can check for providers in your area right on the website. Hope this helps!

Can i know some gud names for dental clinics?(like translations)?

"Bite mi".

"Drill %26amp; Fill".

"Down in the Mouth".

"Rinse %26amp; Spit".

I need to know good dental clinics in bangalore?
exactly 11 years ago i was visiting your country when I had a dental problem with 2 teeth that broke. I was recommended to Dr.Prithvi Raval in Vani Vilas Road 28, Bangalore. He took me to believe it was urgent to treat other crowns, appart from the two broken teeth, otherwise would bring problem during trip. I trusted him, and after charging me 22.000 ruppies (which i had to urgently obtain from my country) he placed 10 porcelain crowns, after incredible suffering because anesthesia would not work properly. I travelled back to my country already feeling sick, which became worse along 6 years. Crowns were not only carved lopsided but also bacteria was left under the crowns, who ended up by making me loose jaw bone, had terrible headaches, ear pain, but also ended by loosing all crowns and teeth roots. This was my very sad experience with this doctor that I hope will not continue damaging patients as he so freely did with me being a foreigner. NEVER go to him. There was a public hospital very near to his office, where another friend of mine (who did not have the chance of obtaining such a big amount of money) went to seek for dental service and obtained adequate treatment, at normal prices and with no further problems. Mine was an extraordinary bad treatment that I paid with my health.

Are there any free dental clinics in central texas?

My brother was in a car accident and has sever damage to his teeth..he is in constant pain.

Are there any free dental clinics in central texas?
Was the accident his fault? Does he have comprehensive insurance?

Was the accident someone else's fault? Were they insured?

Was he the driver? Was he a passenger?

As the injury occurred in a MVA (motor vehicle accident), his or the other person's insurance may cover this. Your brother may want to contact his auto insurance agent (or the driver's agent, if he was a passenger) to see about this!

As another poster suggested, the local Department of Human Services or the local County or State Health Department may have an updated list of free dental clinics.
Reply:You could try and call your local Health and Human Services office and they may be able to help.

I'm assuming he does not have any dental insurance? If not, and you are not able to find access to a free dental clinic, contact me through my profile page here and I can send you another alternative option that may be able to help.

Tooth pain is awful. I hope you find him some help soon.

Where are the Free Dental Clinics in Arkansas?

My insurance will not pay for me to have my wisdom teeth removed. I can not afford to pay for surgery on my salary.

Where are the Free Dental Clinics in Arkansas?
Contact your local or state dental association and and see if there are any dentists who provide free or reduced cost care for low-income, disabled or senior patients.

Call your local health department and ask about health centers that provide dental care for free or on a sliding scale.

Go to a dental school, if there is one near you, for reduced costs.

Check http://www.toothwoman.net to see if low-cost or free dental services are available near you.

Check http://bphc.hrsa.gov and choose "Find a Health Center" to see if there is a low-cost clinic near you.

Check http://www.nfdh.org/DDS.html to see if your state has a "Donated Dental Services" program. D.D.S. is designed to locate dentists who will give free care to patients who are financially compromised due to medical problems. Not all states have D.D.S. programs.
Reply:most large universities have free dental clinics. call them.

I say they shoudnt have to have my information. I think of it like we could be roomates why would I give that information to a roommate? Dont get me wrong I will give it to her if they really need it. But I can see me getting some huge bill for work done on her.

No they do require that for assistance. You would not be responsible for the bill.

Are there any dental clinics for a low income single woman in SJ based on a sliding scales?

I work with a nice lady who makes about 7 dollars an hour, as a short order cook and her teeth are breaking off and rotting. She's very depressed in general and this is making her smile less. People are meaner to her because of how she looks. Rotten teeth and having no money to do anything about it can't make life any better. I feel bad, because I've been there, sort of before, with bad teeth and feeling like even having one cavity filled will break the bank, let alone a mouth full of root canals. I was able to finance my dentisty, luckily. She is in a situation 10X worse than mine. I'm sure nobody will let her finance, so I need to find a dentist in S. Jersey will do this work based on a sliding scale. This lady is seriously depressed and I feel like this could be one more problem to put her over the edge. Teeth are a necessity and having a mouth full of rotting painful ones cannot possibly make life any easier. Anybody know of any way to help?

Here is a link for several sources in South Jersey. If you can modify your question by adding the town, I may be able to provide more direction.

For fillings,there are two kind:

amalgam restoration($35-90 for DO,$40-120 for specialist) %26amp; tooth colored restoration($45-110 for DO,$50-180 for specialist)

p.s: for filling, the rate goes by per tooth

I want to apply to Baylor College of Dental Hygienist, but I have a trouble with one of the requirements. Help

The problem is that every student has to get a "Evaluation Form" from a Dental Hygienist, that is just to observe their job, until I accumulate 16 hours of observation and signed.

So, what they told me is that I have to call dental clinics to ask them if is ok to do that, and I did but 4 of them said no and 2 said that they don't think that is possible to allow a student to do that.

What can I really do, I'm running out of time. PLEASE HELP

I want to apply to Baylor College of Dental Hygienist, but I have a trouble with one of the requirements. Help
Call Baylor's program and ask if there is an alumnus of that program who would be willing to let you do your work there. Graduates of a college are usually loyal to the schools and understand the needs of students well.

Are there any private doctors/dental clinics in Canada?

Canada has a comprehensive social health system, but is there any room for privately funded clinics/hospitals? In such a huge economy I suspect there is, but I could be wrong. I would appreciate websites to clinics.

Are there any private doctors/dental clinics in Canada?
All dentists are private in Canada. As for medicine, you must understand that essentially we have in each province one medical insurance plan all people must belong too which is billed by hospitals and doctors which operate independantly. Some things such as MIR clinics/sports medicine etc are run by private companies which bill the public insurance or users may pay some user fees. Not all things are free - for instance if you need crutches, you pay. If you want a private hospital room, you pay. You have have medical benefits through private insurance/employment to cover some of these things.

I was in a wreck (4 back surgerys) now disabled( not getting disablility yet). I have a parcial I cannot wear %26amp;the teeth left that he filled are unfilled. Need advice on what if any dental can be done to fix my mouth Implants etc. a Needed miracle my partial hurts?
I am so sorry about your situation. Have you filed a complaint against this dentist? I would definitely consult a lawyer--most reputable lawyers will give a free consultation at the first visit. If he thinks you have a valid malpractice case, he will take a percentage of your settlement, so you will not have to pay any money up front. Make sure to pick a lawyer who specializes in malpractice. You may also want to consider filing a small claims lawsuit against him if you don't want to go the lawyer route, but it sounds like you have a valid case for malpractice. As for taking care of the problem now, check to see if you have a nearby college that does dentistry work--it is very cheap and supervised step by step by the instructor. Are you eligible for insurance through the reserves? Have you checked with your local Public Aid department to see if you qualify for help? Some townships pay for emergency medical care as well as the Salvation Army; if they can't help you perhaps they will know of someone who can. If you do find someone to do your dental work, make sure you have someone take pictures of your mouth and teeth with as much detail as possible, you will need these in the event you sue that piece of scum doctor. Keep a well-detailed file of all your medical documentation so far, and keep proof of your financial losses and chronic pain. The more detailed your proof, the better able a lawyer will be able to determine if you have a legitimate case. Good luck and may God bless you and your family, and the safe return of your hubby.
Reply:Oh my God, I'm so sorry. The only things I can think to help you, is check on line, to see if there are any Dental Schools, that could help you, or, check on clinics, where people without Ins. or Money, might see you. Some Dental Schools, may see %26amp; help you without charge, just explain everything you did on here %26amp; someone is bound to come through, just don't give up. You might even be able to apply for Medicaid, because of low, or no, income. My Prayers are with you dear, please try these things, you have nothing alse to lose. I' ll be thinking of you.

So i dont have dental insurance...?

i live in nj and i dont have dental ins or money to pay full price at a dentists office. I've heard about the dental clinics and how they charge you based off of your income but whenever i have tried calling them they say that they dont make appointments. i just have to be there b4 8oclock and be one of the first three people standing in line cuz thats all theyll take. i've tried and so far i cant be seen. does anyone know of anywhere cheap? my teeth are killing me. its an emergency

So i dont have dental insurance...?
Dental insurance is not cheap. My father paid for his himself (not thru employer) and decided to cancel it. Rather than pay $25-40/mo he just paid the dentist for hsi 2 annual visits and it was cheaper. This is great if you don't have any major issues. At the same time if your problem is something as simple as a pop corn kernel that can be fixed with just a regular visit and would probably be worth the $100 it may cost u. Dont be one of "those people" who only wants to get insurance for 1 month to fix ur problem and cancel. A lot of self-pay policies have 6-18 month waiting periods before you can do more than a just a cleaning anyway..
Reply:find a dentist that will take monthly payments...er help (ask him to apply for visa credit card to cover your expense) citibank will take it up to 1500.00
Reply:If you haven't heard of Ameriplan yet you are in luck!

It's only $39.95 to get you set up and enrolled in our Dental, vision, rx %26amp; chiropractic plan (then $19.95/mo thereafter) and the best part about it is that you will be able to use it right away, even before your membership cards come!

As for how much it will cost you at the dentist... that depends on what you need to have done exactly. I can tell you that for the actual initial exam to be seen %26amp; checked, typically that alone could cost roughly $130, but with Ameriplan you are looking at roughly $35-45.

Take a look at this site http://www.mybenefitsplus.com/cberney

Then call me (my number is on the site) and I can explain it further if needed, answer any questions that you have, and then if you'd like, even get you set up and in the dentist office to get this taken care of ASAP!
Reply:Contact your local dental society. The dental society can give you the names of dentists/surgeons in your area that provide free, low-cost or sliding scale fee services for patients. If you don't know the name of yours, contact the American Dental Association. Most states have one. Some cities and counties have them, as well. I have included some links to some New Jersey Dental Societies.
Reply:Go to http://www.dentalplansignup.com , then go to a dentist. If not get ready to pay big bucks.

Dental Care in Houston, Texas?

Does anyone know if there are any Dental Clinics In Houston,TX for ppl who don't have insurance? If so, please let me know.

Dental Care in Houston, Texas?
Since you don't have ins. have you looked in to discount health benefits? The company is based out of Dallas Tx, they have a large provider base that would help you save money at the dental clinics and it is perfect for someone who is uninsured or underinsured. The monthly fee is very reasonable, and the savings are great! Check out this wesite for more info. www.everyonebenefits.com/trodgers
Reply:Castle dental will take you but they will put you on a pay plan that requires a large down payment. They will probably work with you on the down payment also.

Castle has many locations through out Houston.

U of M dental Clinics?

Do they have clinics where U of M students can practice on regular patients? and if so can some one find me the link.. And arent University clinics cheaper?

U of M dental Clinics?
Yep, the University of Minnesota's School of Dentistry is in downtown Minneapolis. http://www.dentistry.umn.edu/

If you are in the Minneapolis area, you should give them a call and see if they are taking new patients.

Good luck.
Reply:The ADA has a list of dental schools. You can visit each school's website from there. You need to check the details on the clinics availability if they are accepting new clients. Right now (June) I think the students might be out for the summer or doing boards. Remember, it will be cheaper, but students will be working on you or your kids. It's supervised, but might take longer than the average dentist visit.

What is the definition of Dental Malpractice and what is it you have to prove against the dentist or clinic?

In a nutshell: You need to prove that the practitioner caused a bodily injury to you due to treatment that was not up to the accepted standard of care, within the time period specified by the statute of limitations.

"bodily injury": That means physical injury to your person only. You can't sue for dental malpractice based on "emotional or psychological injury" or "financial injury" or any such other circumstances. If you were not physically injured, you don't have a case.

"accepted standard of care." There are standards for treatment procedures established by the dental profession. If you were injured but the dentist did perform the procedure to the accepted standard of care, had informed you of the injury and taken the correct steps to treat the injury, you don't have a case.

"statute of limitations." This means you have a limited amount of time to file a lawsuit for most cases (it's usually 3 years). Under most circumstances, you can't wait 20 years then file a lawsuit.

Hope this helps.

Has anyone had dental implants done in Thailand? were you satisfied and can you recommend a clinic?

I personally haven’t, but i work along side an implantologist, the pros and cons of implants else where are: Yes, they are cheaper, but the major con is that if something happens such as the implant fails a dentist back in your home town will not take any responsibilities or consider any possible work as it wasn’t implanted by him. Therefore you will have to travel back to Thailand for further treatment. Plus implants usually come with a guarantee, so if you have it done in your home state/town the guarantee continues to be valid. Good luck.

I have been in pain with a toothache for 2 weeks and am 7 months pregnant i have no dental insurance..?

I have been in excruitiating pain for 2 weeks with an abcess tooth. I have taken antibiotics and they did not work. I have no dental insurance and cannot get into the health department dental clinic till July!! I dont know what to do anymore.. I cry all the time it hurts so bad i cant sleep especially. I am also 7 1/2 months pregnant and am so worried. I need to have this tooth pulled and cant wait any longer!!

I have been in pain with a toothache for 2 weeks and am 7 months pregnant i have no dental insurance..?
If you don't have much money and you are pregnant then you should qualify for medicaid. Your local DFACS office can give you Medicaid and you will get a temporary card that day. Many dentists take medicaid and you can just call around to find one who will. Medicaid for adults will pay for an extraction and all of your prescriptions. I'm guessing that your dentist didn't give you those antibiotics right? Very scary thing to do while pregnant. Not all antibiotics are safe while pregnant. As for going to the emergency room. They don't do any dentistry even with an abscess. The dentist wont even pull the tooth while it is infected because of septicemia. If you find one that will...RUN and don't go back. Your best bet is medicaid right now. For the time being, clove oil can help out with the pain and is available over the counter at your local drug store. Good luck
Reply:Sounds like an emergency. Go to the hospital.
Reply:go to emergency..
Reply:Go the Emergency Depart. they will help you.
Reply:get yourself the the ER. Apply for charity care *free medical* and get some pain meds and someone to look at your tooth. an abcess can infect your blood and make you septic and can KILL you.

dont worry about the money you will be spending, worry about your life.

good luck and I hope you get what you need.
Reply:You could have it pulled it is a lot cheaper. I had to have a tooth pulled when I was pregnant, I had insurance but I had to wait 2 months for them to do anything, so instead of being on antibiotics and pain meds they pulled it. You can also apply for medicaid, which is insurance while you are pregnant, my sister who made like 60,000 a year was on it while she was pregnant cause she didn't have insurance, there income restrictions are not bad when you are pregnant.

good luck to you
Reply:Where do you live?- Oregon, I hope. Well At Clackamams Community college, you can get htis class that you take for 1 trimester and it gives you FREE HEALTH INSURANCE for YOU AND YOUR BABY! but not all the way. The class costs $40 al together and the cool thing about it is that it helps you figure out what job you'd like to do in the future. But you being 7.5 mo. pregnant- Theres a problem- even bigger- i doubt you live in oregon. Hope you find help.
Reply:I had a similar problem last year. I went to the emergency room. They have a dental room and dentists on call just like medical doctors. It is possible the dentist would pull it for you then and there. I hope this works out for you. God bless!
Reply:I hope the antibiotic you took won't affect the baby. Anyhow, for your problem, you can try to go to your local dental school or university. They usually charge cheap. Although the students were the one who perform the job, they are under professional supervision.

I am dentist in iraq, i want a free software program to manage my clinic database ,?
I am a Real Estate Broker trying to get Microsoft Office Online, where there's a section for managing contacts (database section, business or personal). There is a 12-pg agreement, and a trial period. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get far enough into the download to obtain any related charges/fees for the service, due to the security issue on my computer.

My dilemma is that I have to release security risk level in order to download, which my son says I shouldn't do.

Does anyone know if there are dental clinics for senior citizens.?

I use to volunteer at the health dept. in Sanford Fl. and I noticed that pregnant women and children, legal or illegal immigrants, could come there and get free dental work done.

Wouldn't it be great, if there was some sort of medical plan set up for seniors, to enable them to get dental care, based on their income.

Does anyone know of anything similar to this situation?

our county health department (also in Florida) takes anyone for the dental work.

I'm going to a dental school to get my teeth cleaned/examined. What should I expect?

Anyone ever been to a University dental clinic? How long will it take? Will like thousands of people be looking in my mouth if I get a cavity?

I'm going to a dental school to get my teeth cleaned/examined. What should I expect?
It'll take 2 to 3 hours. The student has a set of steps that he/she must follow and have checked off. Some schools have streamlined this step and others still limp along inefficiently. You will get the best exam you've ever had, though! If there is a cavity, they'll talk with you about it ( student and faculty) and come up with a plan to get things fixed. It's time consuming, but you generally get very good work.
Reply:well in hygiene school i saw patients in our clinic, and it will take a long time because the people cleaning your teeth are not certified yet and all their work has to be checked over by the instructor. Only the student and instructor will see your teeth, and no one else. at least thats how my school worked. it did take 2-3 hours for the whole appt, but it is way cheaper. we only charged 10 bucks and students were free. id do it if i were you.

If they find something really interesting in your mouth they might have a lot of students look at it. I know there is a tiny little TV camera that some dentists use, and they might have one of those so all the students don't have to line up to look in your mouth one by one. Or they might just videotape it and show it to the students later.

I have had my teeth cleaned by dentists and by dental hygienists (specialists in cleaning teeth), and dentists do it much more gently! I think a student dentist might be even more gentle!

It should take about half an hour, maybe more depending on how careful the student is.

HI if you are referring to perth in scotland??????? this is an international website??????? then your best bet is to go to the dundee dental hospital where there is an emergency department and if you are in pain they will take the tooth out for free. opening hours are monday to friday 8.30 am to 5pm. if you want to be seen your best bet is to get there as eaarlyas you can.

Reply:In the U.S we have dental societies. Try to contact the local dental society in Austrailia. They should be able to give you a referral for low income dentist, possibly one that provides services for free or sliding scale fees.

I badly need a dental crown. Ontario Disability Support Programme does not cover this.?

They will cover for the root canal, but not the crown. I was quoted at $900.00, which i can not afford. Does anyone know of a free dental clinic in Toronto that does this work. I know that the U of T is very booked up, and i am not sure if they do this work for free. Time is of the essence as i dont want to get an infection in the mean time. My tooth is fractured and the remaining mercury from the filling is sticking out.

What is sterilization log in dental office?

we are opening a dental clinic. delta dental required a sterilization log to have in the office.

is this log prepared by the office staff ?

What is sterilization log in dental office?
Yes. You need to be able to prove that you are properly sterilizing instruments just in case you are ever sued by a patient (for example, a patient could contract hepatitis %26amp; try to blame you for it). You would document loads run through your autoclave, stuff like that. Also, you need to do a spore test every so often. You would need to document doing those tests %26amp; what the results were.

As a dental hygienist could i own my own practice???

could i own my own practice just cleaning teeth. i was thinking i could just refer my clients to a dentist if they needed anything more serious than a cleaning.i live in a rather rural area and the nearest dentist is 45 mins or more away. i was thinking i could use the fact that it is rural area and call it a kind of dental clinic.

As a dental hygienist could i own my own practice???
Most states licensing would prohibit you from working on your own without a licensed medical professional on site (ie doctor or dentist). Think about how many medical clinics do not have a doctor on staff- none because they could not operate.

Last year in Chicago, a Dental Hygienist administered anesthetic to a patient- and the patient died under the supervision of the Dentist. Immediately the Dentist pointed the finger back to blame the Hygienist- but the ultimate blame laid with the person who was to be supervising the entire situation; the Dentist. Both lost their licenses.

I understand that you would not be preforming services other that cleaning here- but the liability remains. Insurance companies would probably have a hard time providing coverage to an office without a Dentist on staff- if they were to even consider it.

Check with your local and state licensing boards to see exactly what the regulations and laws for your area are.

Good Luck.
Reply:you can to anything through christ who strenghten you, women are queens and deserve to get what ever they desire, desire backed by faith breeds success
Reply:it sounds like an interesting service - especially considering the rural area. i would check into the legality and liability of this.

curious if you are able to legally assess when someone needs more than a cleaning in your current work?
Reply:In most states a dental hygienist is allowed to perform their duties only under the supervision of a licensed dentist. In some situations and for some procedures this includes direct supervision, meaning the dentist must be available on site, in others it may mean general supervision, meaning the dentist must be available for referral, follow-up and emergencies.

In most situations, under dental insurance a dental prophy visit covers the hygienist performing the cleaning, as well as a dental examination by the dentist and usually bite-wing x-rays. You could not perform the dental examination, nor could you technically order the x-rays so this would not be a complete exam visit IAW insurance standards.

Your idea has merit, but you would probably need to set up an arrangement for a dentist or rotating dentist to come to your clinic either for examinations or just to meet the supervision standards.

How much is the dental cost inside UAE?
Please visit the link giving below:

http://dwc.hct.ac.ae/expatinfo/dentists....

This link provides you with contact numbers, adresses, opinions about certain dentists and some even offer a price list.

Take care and I hope it helped.
Reply:Pretty expensive as you usually are charge to open a file, then to see the doctor then for the actual treatment.. long trail of cost before you even see the doctor but each hospital/dentist varies.
Reply:Seriously it's not that expensive.

In your case, you have to see a private dental doctor as they dont ask health card etc. The minimum cost for a tooth extraction by a Dubai DOH Certified Dentist is Dhs. 75.

There's 3-5 dental clinics inside the Shk Rashid Apartment Building in Karama. This building is along the Karama Central Post Office. Above the HADI Shop (3rd or 4th Floor) is where you will find some good Dentist at an affordable costs.

What are Dental work, pharmacies and prpstitutes like in Cabo San Lucas, BC; Mexico?

I am most interested in knowing:

A) What kind of prices I will find for dental work. Any recomendations for a surgical dentist or dental clinic?

B) What kind of Adult oriented clubs are there, ie; strip clubs. What are the general prices and accepted tips to dancers. What will they do/let you do for that tip

C) Do they have an active prostitution trade? What do they charge? Are there specific areas where I can find more professional girls, and/or cheaper girls that are on a less beaten path?

D) Can I find pharmacies similair to Tijuana there? Are the prices different than Tijuana?

How does any of the above compare with Tijuana?

What are Dental work, pharmacies and prpstitutes like in Cabo San Lucas, BC; Mexico?
A) all dentists and dental surgeons in the area are excellent

B) several clubs in the cabo area. You pay for what you get.

C) If you want it, you'll pay for it.

D) All pharmacies are about the same. Cabo is more expensive.

If you are that cheap ***, you should stay in Tijuana. Cabo is very expensive.
Reply:Yes you can do all that if you want to go to jail. There is really strict police force there and the Police all stand on the street corners with big machine guns or rifals. I would not do anything stupid like buying drugs or hookers unless you want to spend time in a Mexican jail sleeping on dirt floors.

I need free or reduced dental care near Sarasota, FL. Anyone know of a clinic or kind dentist who offer it?

I am homeless and jobless, doing handyman service for money. My teeth are hurting and it is hard to work with the pain.

I need free or reduced dental care near Sarasota, FL. Anyone know of a clinic or kind dentist who offer it?
Nope

Ask a dentist to do some horse trading. Find other people in your situation and ask them if they know of any dentist that have given them a hand. I know I have a ton of projects around my office that I would gladly trade for, however, I haven't ever been asked by anyone and I can not ethically solicit such help. Can't hurt to ask.

No you can't know where I'm located.

Good luck

NHS clinic waiting times?

I know there is a time limit to the amount of weeks you wait to be admitted to hospital for an operation or to be referred on the NHS BUT once you have been referred....waited and finally seen the specialist NHS dentist ......is there any legislation stating the maximum number of weeks you have to wait to then see this dentist again on his request at a specialist clinic?

Iv just waited 11 weeks to see a specialist dentist for him to say it would be beneficial for me to attend a special dental clinic they run but I have to wait another 18 weeks in pain!

NHS clinic waiting times?
I feel the waiting period depends on their booking schedules and it seems that it is over booked.

Dental debt and collection agency!?

Hi all,

I had a limited dental insurance which covered a fraction of my treatment. I owe the dental clinic 500$. I got the treatment 3 months ago and I never recieved the bill bcoz they sent it to my old address. And yesterday i got a call from a collection agency telling me i owe 500$. Now if I don't pay it right now what are the consequencies? Will it go in my credit history?

Please answer. I need to know this.

Dental debt and collection agency!?
If you don't pay it yes chances are it will go on your credit report. Keep in mind that even if you do pay it you will want to get in writing that they either never will report this to the credit reporting agencies or if they have they will delete it when you do pay.
Reply:I would send a letter to the collection agency asking them to validate the debt, if they cant show proof they cant or shouldnt report it, however, since you say it is your debt, it can go on your credit, even if you pay it
Reply:You can call the Dental Office directly and set up a payment

plan, the Dental Office will either make arrangements with

you (or tell you to go thru the Collection Agency to collect)

Tell them you apologize for moving and did not think to

send them your new address maybe they will be nice
Reply:Hi,

I used "Credit Solutions" to settle my debt. They managed to reduce my debt up to 58%.It's legitimate.I came across this company on NBC News Special Edition.Check it out here:

Dental query?

UK QUESTION

I need to have the tip of a root taken out due to infection which is a simple procedure as a day patient. My dentist referred me to another dental clinic who say they won't charge me for the consultation but wouldn't give me the price of the procedure (Apicectomy). However, should I decide not to have the procedure done with them I will then get charged for the consultation!

I've written to my dentist asking to be referred to my local dental hospital as I refuse to pay - the procedure is necessary rather than cosmetic.

Has anyone been through a similar situation with their dentist? Any advice?

Anyone saying to have the tooth removed with have an immediate thumbs down for that answer!

Dental query?
Yes, this is the ridiculous state of the dental health services in the UK. You are lucky if you can get an NHS dentist at all and even then, it is a costly business. That sounds like quite sharp practice on the part of the second dentist who will not give you a rough quote.

If you are going to the dental hospital, be prepared to wait hours to be seen and if you think that the student working on you (it is always a student!) is not up to the job, you can ask to see a teaching consultant. Again, you will have to wait a very long time, so take a good book!
Reply:Yea Gods.

Methinks that you worry too much !

My Dentist just puts stuff right without fuss %26amp; consultation.

As it should be.

Nice set of nashers, that work %26amp; look OK without all that fuss.

I would sack your dentist, and have a word with a more sensible one.

Best of ...

Bob.
Reply:They should be able to give you a general idea of the cost over the phone. I am guessing that would be the only reason why you would not go to them. I would stick with the doctor that your dentist has referred you to, as they usually have good working relationships and your doctor will refer you to someone that can be trusted. Your insurance should cover the procedure if it is necessary. I know that here in the states, this procedure would be covered at 80% so you would have a small co-pay. I would not put this off as you could have some pretty major pain with it. Good luck!
Reply:Yes I have been through it and I find it strange about your dentist, if I were you and the infection is bad and you are in pain go to your local A%26amp;E and tell them, they may as mine did refer you to their dental clinic. You should not have to pay for this private and as you say it is not cosmetic. Keep pushing for it Good luck

Dental observation hours???

Do I just call the clinic and tell them my college requires observation hours in a dental clinic??? Or is there a different process for this?

Dental observation hours???
Most dental offices will accomodate you as well... the dentists, hygienists and assistants were once in the same predicament as you are in now, and should approve your visits...

The same rules apply to dental clinics...

Good luck to you in your dental profession!

:)
Reply:Talk with your program supervisor and see if there are any places that welcome observation time.

That is what their job is. To help find places that allow this. They should have a list of places that allow this.

Dental braces.?

I am 26 yrs old and I would like to have braces.Right now I am in boston.,US. I dont have dental insurance.Could anybody please tell me is there any dental insurance which covers braces if I register with them now? and is there any dental clinic in New jersey , Newyork or Boston where I could have braces cheaply because I cant afford more money.Really appreciate your replies.

Dental braces.?
The best plan for Boston that will cover adult braces without waiting periods is DentalBraces4Less.com. Make sure you check both with local general dentists and orthodontists on the plan regarding the savings.
Reply:most dental policies only cover a portion of orthodontics. Not 100% coverage. Check with local orthodontists to see if they finance.
Reply:also many policies have age restrictions on braces. You might start by asking your dentist if he/she knows of any programs that would meet your needs.
Reply:some Companies offer dental insurance that either covers the adult braces or a portion of them

Not A question Here is some info on Free and low cost dental services?
I think you should post this list once every day. So many of the people coming here are asking for exactly this information. Yes, HM is right in saying that there can be problems with obtaining cheap or free care, but I think (hope) many people understand this is just part of the deal.
Reply:Thanks for all of that free info! But none of those are anywhere near where I live. Oh, well. You have probably helped somebody find a good dentist today. I am fine with my dentist though. But will consider this if a problem arises.

I don't know any good links though, sorry.
Reply:The problem with places like this is that you get what you pay for. I have had so many patients want to get the cheapest dental work that they could, and then in a year or two they come back in complaining that their crown came off, their root canal failed, their denture didn't fit. It someone goes into it knowing that cheap or free dental work may back fire on them, then these places are fine, but they need to be made aware of the bad side of these places.
Reply:GREAT JOB on the info.I think the dentist's and the clinical staff that provide these type of services are doing a remarkable job most of them do it on a volunteer bases and should be commended for the work they do.

Dental assistance?

Does anyone know where I can get dental assistance? My teeth are in really bad shape and I have no funds to get them taken care of. I have 4 kids and income in ok but not enough to afford the dental care I need. According to what aid there is out there say that Salud Dental clinic I earn above the minimum wage so I don't qualify for aid. So what does that mean? Does it mean that I lose my teeth when I can't afford to have dental care for myself. I care for my kids and have been a single mom for 13 years! Any ideas?

Dental assistance?
HELLO LIBBY,

YOU ARE NOT ALONE OUT THERE. MANY FOLKS MAKE OVER THE AMOUNT TO QUALIFY FOR PUBLIC AID.

YOUR BEST CHOICE IS TO LOOK FOR CARE AT A DENTAL SCHOOL WHERE PRICES ARE MORE REASONABLE OR YOU MAY WISH TO APPLY FOR CARE CREDIT TO BE ABLE TO FINANCE YOUR DENTAL CARE.

ANOTHER OPTION IS TO SPEAK WITH THE DENTAL OFFICE MANAGER AND EXPLAIN YOUR EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES AND SEE IF AN ARRANGEMENT CAN BE MADE.
Reply:Check with your local charity groups -- Lions Club, churches, missions -- and see if they might know of services available.
Reply:Some dental clinics offer reduced dental treatment fees based on your income... the Social Services Department in your area will know where they are..........call them and find out.

Best of luck to you~

Dental School?

Here’s my story...

I just got out of active duty Air Force. My dream is to attend Dental School at UMB Dental School. The only problem is that my husband and I are stuck on the tiny island of Okinawa Japan for 2 1/2 more years. I am currently attending college here with UMUC but their degree plans/choices are very slim. They don’t offer any degrees in science so I feel stuck.

I am thinking of volunteering at the dental clinic on base for the Red Cross to help with admissions when I try to apply in a few years. I am also doing my best to keep my GPA high.

ANY tips on what I can do to bump up my chances of getting accepted into dental school once we get back to the states?

I've also started volunteering around the community %26amp; I'm knocking out all of the prerequisites for UMB currently.

Thanks a million! And high five for having an awesome job!

How much does it cost per tooth on CeraRoot Zirconia Dental Implant Surgery? what clinic? Philippines only.?
About 5 to 8 thousand dollars
Reply:Dental implant surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her dental implants and Lasik surgery in India by a company called Indian Health Guru Consultants. The Price for dental and Lasik surgery is very less in India. She paid 25% of the price she was quoted in America.

Indian Health Guru Consultants is very famous in India They arrange Dental surgery, jaw surgery, Lasik eye surgery, Dental Implants etc for foreign patients in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines- about their patient stories.

They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low cost, as dental and eye surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Looking for Low fee dental Clinics In San Diego Ca?

Trying to help my mom find a low fee dental clinic for her husband. Has no insurance. Can't download the list some had here a while back. Thanks

Looking for Low fee dental Clinics In San Diego Ca?
Contact your local or state dental association and and see if there are any dentists who provide free or reduced cost care for low-income, disabled or senior patients.

Call your local health department and ask about health centers that provide dental care for free or on a sliding scale.

Your local United Way may also be aware of such a clinic. In some areas, you can reach them now by dialing 2-1-1 for "non-emergency information."

Go to a dental school, if there is one near you, for reduced costs.

If you are a senior citizen, call your local Area Agency on Aging or Office on Aging. If you can not find a listing in your local phone book on the "County Government" pages (usually marked with blue borders), call toll-free 1-800-677-1116 to find how to contact the Area Agency on Aging serving you.

This is a process that will take a couple of months to get your information and then arrange for someone to see you. Not all states have D.D.S. programs.

Does anyone know of any discount dental clinics in the nw georgia area?

i don't have any insurance and am unemployed at the time. i am in dire need of dental work but dont have any insurance and cant afford to pay out large chunks of cash at once. i dont have it to pay out. however, i am on the verge of several abcesses and am aware of the further complications they can cause. i am willing to pay over time if necessary but would rather find a dental school or discount lab or even an indigent dental clinic if that's what it takes. please help.

Does anyone know of any discount dental clinics in the nw georgia area?
Try this discount dental plan. http://mybenefitsplus.com/40436527 it's very affordable. Only 11.95 per month and you save up to 80%. I save a lot using it. There is no waiting period when you enroll.
Reply:Look for Dental Schools in your area, most have a program of supervised student dentistry. It is........affordable.

Most ER's that take Fed money are obligated to give you urgent care. So, bottom line, they have to give you antibiotics, which will calm the inflamation, and reduce the pain. It doesn't solve the problem, but could probably delay it for a long time.

Good oral hygene is helpful as well. As is diet.
Reply:Hi, I'm in the Macon, GA area. Gosh, I can understand your frustration and pain. There's a company out there that helps people who do not have and need affordable dental benefits. It includes all basic things and then surgery, crowns, even orthodontics. There's no high premiums, deductibles, co-pays, waiting periods, or anything like that at all. They can save you up to 80% on your out of pocket expenses for less than $12/month. It could end up saving you a lot of $$ over traditional insurance. Try this website and you can check out the specifics and providers in your area. http://www.everyonebenefits.com/40424269... They are a wonderful company are members of the BBB. I have benefits through them as well. Hope you find what you need. Please email me if you have any questions, and I'd be happy to help you if I can. Best of luck.

Has anyone gone to the dental implant clinic in NY and paid $495 for each tooth? Is this for real?

The New York University College of Dentistry has an implant program.. Their fee is $700 per implant which is very reasonable. The abutment and crown are separate though (expect to pay $1500 for those).

Has anyone gone to the dental implant clinic in NY and paid $495 for each tooth? Is this for real?
I never had but my fiancee doesn't have one of his back molors. It never came in and the dentist said it would be about 500 for the implant

Lasik eye Surgery and Dental Surgery is very safe nowadays. It is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges Eye surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.

I have also read that they arrange financing for american and canadian patients as obesity surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor i personally believe that your eye surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

My cousin got her Eye surgery %26amp;Dental Surgery in India through the forerunners healthcare .She is more than very happy with the results. She just paid 25% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company.hope this helps

Is it better to go to see Dentist at a Hospital or a Dental Clinic?

Pros and Cons anyone?

I'm going to need some major surgery and not sure which one to look into.

Thanks for your help.

Is it better to go to see Dentist at a Hospital or a Dental Clinic?
DENTAL CLINIC!!!
Reply:it's your own opinion.
Reply:Mexico, that's where we're all going. great prices and great - fantastic service.
Reply:I didnt even know you could see a dentist at a hospital.

I thought all dentists were in privately owned clinics.

Be careful that they dont try to charge your insurance company for more than they did.

I've had that happen multiple times...for example, they charged the insurance for xrays that I did not have taken, or extra fillings that I did not have done. And they often want to overcharge your office visit fee.
Reply:Are you having major dental surgery or just major surgery. In either case, I'm sure any dentist would be able to refer you for appropriate care if it exceeds their scope of practice. If you have a lot of medical problems, maybe your best bet might be to see a hospital dentist since they manage medically compromised patients all the time. Hope this helps

P.S. I fear dddentists.

Where can I find a cheap dentist in my area, like a dental clinic/school?
Usually you can contact the local colleges..unless there is an actual dental school around you. I live in Ohio, and we can go to OSU medical to the dentist. I know a lot of people who do and say it's much cheaper! Good luck!
Reply:I went to the local Tec Collage a few months ago, great work took 2-3hrs though. bout 40bucks for a cleaning.
Reply:Call health and human services in your area, they should have a list of all the medical and dental clinics in the area.

I am looking for any articles, books, sites related to establishing a private dental clinic?

i need any information in relation to private clinics concerning establishment, desiging, markitting %26amp; management.

I am looking for any articles, books, sites related to establishing a private dental clinic?
Try www.dentaltown.com

You will have to register, but it is not restricted to dentists. There are many posting there who have done what you need to do.

If you are in the US, try Patterson.com.

Hope you have loads of cash, because you're gonna need it. Fortunately, lending institutions love professionals.
Reply:If you can't find the information you seek as it relates to dentistry, try looking for it in medicine. There is an abundance of data regarding the establishment of medical clinics, e.g. urgent care centers. The topic is well covered, especially in the areas of logistics, personnel management, marketing, billing, etc.

Good Luck.
Reply:Yeah good luck. It's like adolscents, it's better if you don't do it more that once. It's really a steep learning curve.

Have Fun

If your town or a near by town has a medical school or college there should be a dental school. They may charge a small fee or maybe be free. Check them out.
