NHS clinic waiting times?

I know there is a time limit to the amount of weeks you wait to be admitted to hospital for an operation or to be referred on the NHS BUT once you have been referred....waited and finally seen the specialist NHS dentist ......is there any legislation stating the maximum number of weeks you have to wait to then see this dentist again on his request at a specialist clinic?





Iv just waited 11 weeks to see a specialist dentist for him to say it would be beneficial for me to attend a special dental clinic they run but I have to wait another 18 weeks in pain!

I feel the waiting period depends on their booking schedules and it seems that it is over booked.
