Dental debt and collection agency!?

Hi all,

I had a limited dental insurance which covered a fraction of my treatment. I owe the dental clinic 500$. I got the treatment 3 months ago and I never recieved the bill bcoz they sent it to my old address. And yesterday i got a call from a collection agency telling me i owe 500$. Now if I don't pay it right now what are the consequencies? Will it go in my credit history?

Please answer. I need to know this.

Dental debt and collection agency!?
If you don't pay it yes chances are it will go on your credit report. Keep in mind that even if you do pay it you will want to get in writing that they either never will report this to the credit reporting agencies or if they have they will delete it when you do pay.
Reply:I would send a letter to the collection agency asking them to validate the debt, if they cant show proof they cant or shouldnt report it, however, since you say it is your debt, it can go on your credit, even if you pay it
Reply:You can call the Dental Office directly and set up a payment

plan, the Dental Office will either make arrangements with

you (or tell you to go thru the Collection Agency to collect)

Tell them you apologize for moving and did not think to

send them your new address maybe they will be nice
Reply:Hi,

I used "Credit Solutions" to settle my debt. They managed to reduce my debt up to 58%.It's legitimate.I came across this company on NBC News Special Edition.Check it out here:
