Is it okay to give a guy my number?

I went to this free dental clinic last week to get a tooth worked on. I've been there a few times before and the last couple times, I've noticed this really cute guy. We've never talked but when I went in last week, I think I noticed him smiling at me. I was thinking about going back in when I know he'd be there and giving him a little note that says that I saw him there and just wanted to let him know I thought he was good looking and if he ever wanted to talk or hang out and get to know eachother better then to give me a call and then I told him my name and age and gave him my number in the note. I haven't taken the note by (obviously) but I'm debating on whether I should or not when he'll be there next. I've heard that saying "Nothing ventured, nothing gained" but I don't want to come across as desperate but I've heard guys also say that they're flattered when a girl does something like that. Should I do it or shouldn't I?

ya go ahead theres a first for everything so even if you screw up this time or it doesnt work out as planned at least you can say you tried and you wont live with the regret.. it also gets the weight off your sholder.. especially if you like him and you think hes cute.. but I would suggest asking if he has a gf first or start making small chat so it doesnt come accross as sudden.. but if hes been flirting with you and making alot of eyecontact and smiling then ya like you said he definatly notices you so on the other hand it wouldnt be all awkward.. I say go for it! I would.. definatly dont want to miss out on the possiblities.. go for it just do it with out thinking and overanalyizing and once you do it dont think about it aftward and start regretting it just move on and let time do its thing.. you know cause the more you analize it the more you will get all worked up about it and stuff so just like i said do it lol!

Reply:Ok well I think this is good, I'm always for a girl with some initiative, but you have find a decent reason to go back to the dentist. Like, go for a followup or something, or a cleaning, but if not then just say you're stopping by or whatever. I really don't know, but you don't want to go in there looking like you went there just to give the guy your number. But I appreciate your boldness, good luck.
